EV Windshield Ice Buildup Issue

EV Windshield Ice Buildup Issue

In the winter electric vehicles (EVs) have a problem with snow and ice accumulating in the wiper area at the base of the windshield because there is no gas engine throwing out a ton of waste energy in the form of heat. There are lots of windscreen covers to help solve the issue for EVs, but not all are made equal and there are different sizes. What type offers better coverage, which is big enough, what are the differences? I bought 4 different covers to compare to the one I bought in 2019 for the Niro EV, and I test them all on the Kia EV6. There is one standout winner, one very good runner up, and two pretty sad losers. Watch this video to find out which is the best. ===== EV-olution Links ===== • EV-olution Merchandise: https://www.ev-olution.ca/shop • Buy me a coffee? https://ko-fi.com/ev_olution • EV-olution Web site: https://www.ev-olution.ca/ • Products I use: https://www.ev-olution.ca/products-i-use • Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/ev_olution_inevitable • Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/evolutioninevitible/ These are Amazon affiliate links, so at no cost to you I will make a tiny bit of money on anything you buy on Amazon when you use the links. Nissan Ariya In-Depth Review

It took Nissan 14 years to produce a second-generation electric vehicle, the Nissan Ariya electric SUV, but does it stand out as compared to the competition? Yes, and no. In this video I go over the details of some nice things about the Ariya ESUV, but I also go over some not so nice things. If you are shopping for an electric SUV and are considering the Nissan Ariya, you may be interested in this video. Kia EV6 Touch button problem

I made and 3D printed a solution for the Kia EV6 capacitive buttons at the end of the center console. Kia thought it was a good idea to make the buttons at the end of the console of certain trim levels of the EV6, touch buttons. This means that they can be activated when you accidentally brush them when accessing the climate or media buttons that are right in front of the console. My cover design is simple, quick to print, can be printed at home or via a 3D print service, and costs next to nothing. I strongly suggest printing it in PETG at a minimum, ABS or ASA are better, but not in PLA. PLA will melt in the summer heat in a car. FYI, I used PETG because that is what I had. 2025-01-26 UPDATE: I received a request to make one without the heated steering button, and I created a new set for RHD vehicles, so there are now new files uploaded to the print sites. 2025-01-25 UPDATE: As requested, I have added a version of the button cover that has no ventillated seats. EQ 010 - New Tuxmats after 1 Year

How does the new version of Tuxmat car mats hold up after 1 year, including winter? Are my Kia EV6 carpets still like new? How do you clean the new Tuxmats? I show you the answers to these questions in this video. Spoiler… the results are amazing! NOTE: Back in 2021 a viewer in Europe, Pau Iglesias, wanted some Tuxmats but could not get them there. He found and bought Spartan Liners, and at the time they were the same as Tuxmats. If you are in Europe and are interested in Tuxmat car mats then you may want to investigate Spartan Liners. The answer is yes, and you can learn all about it in this video about the MaCapuche.com charge port cover that is available for a variety of EVs (see link below).
